Detroit Zoological Society-Detroit Zoo

Everyone needs Vitamin Z Part wonder, part amazement — find it only at the Detroit Zoo. Open 362 days a year. It is our goal to make the Zoo experience one that is safe for our visitors, staff and animals. Let’s work together. Please be respectful, help each other and help protect the endangered animals. We are excited to welcome you back to the Detroit Zoo and provide a great Zoo experience in an environment that is as safe as possible for all. • Unless otherwise prevented by a medical condition, the Detroit Zoological Society requires that all guests 5 and older wear a mask at all times while at the Zoo and must maintain at least six feet from other guests, staff and volunteers while outdoors. We all have a shared responsibility to keep guests, volunteers, staff and the animals who live here safe. Guests who do not comply with the Detroit Zoo’s policies may be escorted from the Zoo. The Detroit Zoo — one of Michigan’s largest paid family attractions — is situated on 125 acres of naturalistic habitats, providing a home for more than 2,800 animals representing 239 species. Must-See Habitats The Zoo includes animals from aardvarks to zebras and features naturalistic habitats such as: • Devereaux Tiger Forest • Cotton Family Wolf Wilderness • Australian Outback Adventure • Great Apes of Harambee Visit detroitzoo.org/health to see all current health and safety guidelines.
